Mission

We mobilize individuals, diverse communities and agencies to create safer environments for women in Sudan. We empower women with the tools needed to tackle the mechanisms that condone violence.

FEATURE PROJECT

The Phoenix

The Campaigns and Advocacy Department is there to organize and facilitate the process of advocacy with the survivors of violence. It produces plans, methods and strategies to deal with relevant cases through a team of highly qualified and trained HRD.

The department job is to assist the authorities and the victims to deliver justice, medical treatment, legal aid and all the victims needs. The Department is an assistance shadow of the Official Child and Family Protection Unit with full cooperation with the official unit.

Abdelrahman Elzein is an engineer and developer with a special interest in development. He implements technical solutions and directs the media and content departments of AMNA.

Samar Khalid Abushama

PROJECT COORDINATOR
Samar is a 19-year-old Business management student at the University of Khartoum. She’s passionate about social change and development, with her focus being on gender issues, particularly violence against women and gender based violence. She’s channeling this passion through her now 1-year long position as a Projects Coordinator at AMNA, she finds the nature of the advocacy AMNA carries out as empowering to her as a Sudanese young woman, which is the main reason her drive to stay indulged in women issues advocacy remains intact. Despite being both a full-time student and a sleep-addict, Samar has the special talent of working over her heels and delivering tasks at all times!

HEAD OF COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
Doha Ali is a 21-year-old medical finalist and a passionate gender equality advocate. She works in SRHR and facilitates sessions for UNDP's e-platform for young leaders. Her perspective and expertise serve an important role within and without AMNA's Community Programs Departments.
